The “wolkenvogel” pictures culminated to this large Canvas painting.

During autumn more than 20 new etchings were printed. Especially the two Series “Wolkenvögel” (Cloudbirds) And “Sturmtage” (stormy days). You can find them under “Paintings” in the menue.

The ukrainian war gives daily news and pictures that are hard to believe. An artist has to transform this messages.This results in the large combine painting “Somewhere in the Ukraine”.

Only in the most relaxed hours of this coronayear I produced another “Stonepeople” painting. Done with acrylic colours and spinel laquers on Tyvek its size is 100x180 cm. In times of corona also the stonepeople exist in “bubbles”

By the way, the theme of the painting has nothing to do with “Game of Thrones”, as some spectators suspected, but is attributed to a poem of Antonio Jacinto from the year 1975. Through the generations knowledge and wisdom is inherited from older times, people live and become fossils. In this concept the fish is a symbol for the power of life, not in a Christian context but a more universal one. The bird stands for luck and sexuality and can fly away any moment.
